ByteThief is essentially a Bus Pirate clone that adds the CAN protocol to the feature set. ByteThief will make use of and extend the ARM port of the Bus Pirate firmware.
Quick Specs:
- STM32F446RET6 STM32 ARM Cortex M4 Microcontroller
- 3.3V DCDC regulator fed by USB port
- 2.54mm spaced shrouded connector
- cable adapters for interfacing with various hardware
- USB interface
- ARM Cortex Debug port

This seems to be intended to fly under the radar so far. A public / known working fork of this that everyone can work on might get done faster!
They're using an STM32F103VET I think
well then, this just makes what I want/plan to do easier. My initial plan was to just port their firmware as is to the ARM well I guess they did that for me and STM32 code is pretty portable between chips. So yeah this is totally meant to be a fork of the orignal bus pirate but it looks like they did a huge chunk of the work for me.

I have already done a similar project with STM32 called HydraBus (https://github.com/hydrabus/hydrabus) you are welcome if you want to contribute (even think about new HW revision ...)
