Still alive

In race for smaller size, lower power consumption and what I found at local market, I failed in my idea with easy replicable design, because accelerometer manufactured in LGA16 package, that a little tricky for soldering.
Now work in progress:

- firmware for MCU

Now you can see main feature in design - buttons on top and bottom of the case. In my opinion, this more user friendly position. -
Designer problems
05/25/2016 at 18:52 • 0 commentsToday after few hours of brainstorm, I have a vision of the watch case. First 3D models you can see at the pictures. Now I thinking about rectangular forms with rounded edges. Early I planned to make watches round, but all displays what was found on the market have big frames around active area. In this reason, round case must be a bigger and small active area looks a little "clumsy".

05/24/2016 at 19:45 • 0 commentsAnything goes, work in progress. I design a case and pcb in same time. This is a bit tricky, but not less interesting. At the start of the project I planned to use TFT display, but few days ago my decision is changed. Better to use uOLED display, because it help to reduce power consumption in monochrome mode.
