Looks like ST began implementing artificial intelligence into their chips. While other companies are starting from the brains, ST started from the other side, by creating very specific function register under TDR. Only future will show whether this is the correct approach.
Oh, and notice that TDR is write only and RDR is read only.
Just a tiny reminder that Siemens MCU guys were probably located in Germany, back in the 90's. In case control logik is not enough for you, there you have schadow latch.
I can't spot any obvious typo or mistake, but it's definitely great datasheet for awesome product. Looks like must-have for any audio enthusiast. Definitely will buy one.
