Atomotion came out of developing a new 3D printer using brushless motors and rotary magnetic encoders to do a full servo system. We ran into the dev boards being either too limited in function or too expensive for the amount of processing and IO we needed. In the end, we made a limited prototype for testing the feedback system and then made a custom board to have the full functionality.
From that experience, I decided that it would be useful to design a controller system that was set up in modules that included a useful amount of power to quickly prototype or build new systems.
So far, I've done a full iteration of the system with the exception of the controller module and used that to design a final V1 version that is what we will produce this year.

We've pivoted the to a broader version of this idea, check out the Atomo project for more details or atomosys.com.
Hi everyone that might be watching this project. Just wondering how much interest there is with something that is in this format?
