1Step 1
Inspect the bike - in my case the mounting holes on the seat stays were missing, but the mounting hole near the hub was present.
To fix the problem I relied on the hole on the seat stays bridge and a couple of L-brackets.

2Step 2
Go to the hardware store. For this project the following supplies were needed:
- 2 x 50mm L-shaped mounting brackets
- 1 x M6 screw, 40mm long
- 1 x M6 washer
- 1 x M6 locknut (it resists better to the vibrations than regular threaded nuts)
- 2 x M5 locknuts (the rear rack mounting kit did not include those, not pictured)
Graph paper not needed, but makes everything look more scientific!
-
3Step 3
Put everything in place. Tighten the screw.
-
4Step 4
Done, you can now use the holes from the bracket to add the rear rack.
