I've just received word from the guys at Femtoduino that the bluegiga module that makes up the "BLE" portion of the FemtoduinoBLE doesn't work with its library and Bluegiga is unwilling to help solve the problem. They're now scrambling for another BLE solution, and we're going to go with a Nordic nRF8001 arrangement with the same pinout and footprint as the current FemtoduinoBLE. The nRF8001 has been tried and tested by Limor of Adafruit Industries and over on the Adafruit site, numerous tutorials and guides have already been written for the module. It's a bad surprise, but we think we may have a solution. The design for the new FemtoduinoBLE should be finished this week, boards with 3 day turnaround will be ordered, and testing and delivery to me will come shortly after they're confirmed to work. This project nearly came to a grinding halt, but thanks to the perseverance of Alex of Femtoduino.com, the project will be saved.
