some test software for STM8S103F3
12/20/2016 at 18:53 • 0 commentsI wrote some software some time ago to test reDOT. First I used Atmel's AVR for testing, but newer and showable Version of this test software are written for ST's STM8 (these 0.7 cents cheap Chinese boards). If you are interested: https://github.com/al-1/STM8_TIL305/
It is not doing much. Just count up though all ASCII chars. (and it is with 1095B already over 1kB). More features like brightness control or serial interface will be added.

sodering 0201 LEDs works!
12/10/2016 at 15:56 • 3 commentsMaybe the smallest handmade LED Matrix...
This is not the board from the last log. It is a earlier 0201 board revision with a missing trace, fixed with a wire. More pictures soon.......

Try out 0201 LEDs
12/09/2016 at 16:30 • 7 commentsThere are 0201 SMD LEDs available. An I want to try them out. So I made a 0201 Version of reDOT to test these LEDs (and trying to solder these LEDs). With these tiny LEDs the grid of the LED-Matrix is 40 mil. This is smaller than in original TIL-305 (50mil)
I hope I will be able to solder that.
