The K40 laser cutter is the most famous machine of its type at the moment. The main reason is the price. If you try to assemble tis machine from parts, it surely be much more than the current 300 ish USD you find for a new one on ebay.

So what does this machine get you? A Co2 laser cutter with a cut / engrave area measuring 200mm X 300mm ( 12"x8"). Now after a couple of month using it myself.... " I want moreeeee"

I decide to find use some Openbuilds profile i had from a large 3D printer i made to build a new gantry inside the current case, and thus the UK40OB was born

    Step 1

    Cut the parts to be used in the assembly. Else how are you going to assemble the new parts? :)
