Segment size for transformation into frequency domain can vary between 0.5 and 1.5 seconds, depending on aesthetic effects and responsiveness of the complete arrangement. b) Processing performed on data in the frequency domain. Total magnitudes per band are computed and sent to pure data, to be used as variables in the generative audiovisual algorithm.

Fig 1. Conceptual electronic design.
07/24/2018 at 23:55 • 0 commentsFigure 1. Conceptual electronic design. Neural signals are acquired trough the Muse headband which is connected to a Macbook Pro. An SDK application is used to determine the neural state of the user and the NeuroLS Software Interface (an original Pure Data patch) converts neural-state-data into audiovisual representations. NeuroLS Physical Interface transfers PD-generated instructions to LED Lamps and audio units through MIDI, DMX and XLR to obtain the final audiovisual effects.
