Guitar Toe Tapper

The current cable system just pulls the mallet downwards with the toe but it could probably be improved by using a round pulley rather than a lever. But figuring out the angle would take a bit of work and it would take more force to pull the mallet down than a longer lever. Perhaps just changing the angle of the lever would be the best solution.

Another problem is that the toe tends to slide forward when tapping the toe and I haven't figured out how to make it stationary.

I can think of a couple of sound improvements:

1. The mallet could hit the guitar on the saddle as the sound is deeper and boomier there. Or one could add two mallets, on for the saddle and one where it currently is for a combination of different timbers (pun sort of).

Most folks don't like to screw up (pun) their beautiful wood surface on their prized guitar. And even though my guitar is a cheapie, it still seemed a shame to mess it up. So I simply adapted the mount to use the guitar strap button and a vinyl lock. Of course it could be screwed permanently onto the surface but I like the easy on, easy off functionality.
