360 pixel LED Clock prototype

First SMT soldering ever, the board was a mess going in, but it came out with flying colors.  This was a test of the 1.1mm solder pads for the 5050 leds.

LED pad size testing boards have arrived from OSHPark, time to try some reflow soldering

Testing if I can put the 5050 LEDs quite close together by using a reduced solder pad size.

Finally got mmccoo's KiCad plugins working properly (partially need a particular environment, partially mistakes on my part).

I need to send out some small prototype boards, I need to see if I can make smaller footprints for the LEDs, the default solder pads are huge, and I wonder if I can get away with smaller ones.

Received the 2000 TX1818A LEDs today, crossed fingers that they will be able to talk a standard protocol.
