Searching the prequisite Chinese websites to satisfy my shopping fetish I came across a neat litte ARM Cortex-M0 chip which is a extremely good bang for buck. I believe it is the smallest chip available in a reasonable hand-solderable package (TSOP8).
Board highlights:
– operates from 3.3v or 5V
– max 36Mhz using internal clock
– ARM Cortex-M0
– 8KB FLASH, 1KB SRAM
– 6 GPIO
– 2 32bit timers with PWM
– Watchdog timer
– 2 LED
– 2 switches
– Powered through micro USB
On my GitHub there is a small set of files that forms an empty project file complete with the library to address the peripherals. To program the chip the Blackmagic probe or Jlink can be used.
Love that shop. If you can wait 2 weeks, they're much cheaper than mouser etc. BUT it really depends on the parts. Some Maxim parts like the DS3231MZ are much cheaper there but stuff like Atmel/Microchip chips are quite the same... I really struggle to not buy too much stuff when shopping there every damn time :) Nice project btw. It really is good to keep an eye on the Global Feed sometimes!
I haven't managed to find these chips on the usual suspects, what chinese shopping sites are you on?
