This will be another walking talking robot that will use the roboShield. I have the arms and legs all attached to servos and it looks like the motor will be an easy hack to help him walk and steer as well. I will keep updating as this is an ongoing project.
Last night I worked on how to steer the wheel assembly. I always liked how old toys incorporated this type of motion, once it bumps into something, it just changes direction. I attached a servo arm to mine so I can steer the direction I want to go. The motor ran nicely using 5v and the roboShield motor output control.
The Ultra sonic sensor mounting went well inside Magic Mike’s head. I have his head put back together and all the servers mounted back into his body. I’ve programmed roboShield to move the arms and head through a test sequence.
