DonationBoxV3

Description

Inside DonationBoxV3 is ESP32 RFM96, coin acceptor, display (small or big) and two buttons.
On button press you will get random project on screen, if you press right button you will Like that project if you insert money like will be for selected project.
You will need to add pictures, and sounds for this project.
Currently SD card is not working so all pictures are .c files in pic folder
SD card is working normaly with same pins on other ESP32 board, but cannot get it to work on Heltec
You will need to program your coin selector to accept your coins

At the end of 2014. in my maker space Radiona I have created donation box V1 https://github.com/goran-mahovlic/Radiona_Donationbox , it was powered by raspberry pi and so complicate do replicate. Just look at th project log :)
Now that I have TheThingsNetwork LoRa coverage in my city it is time to remake it to be easier to replicate. Idea is to create offline, no login crowdfounding solution :)
My part of a job was to make electronics ...
Ivica Zdelarec (member of radiona) part was to make case
And Damir Prizmić (member of radiona) part had job to add nice pictures of our projects to this box
Nice looking basel is added by Ivica

Box is programmed from arduino, and you need a good serial debug for any project...
When all was done I needed to pickup data and parse it to check money and likes
Then I added a web page where I could check data in real time
And we placed donation box on exibition

We need to build custom PCB, because I cannot get SD card working on current board

I love the idea of a box where you can pick the project and toss some coins in.

Sorry about the "expectations" vs "reality" picture, though. Maybe next time you need to get a bill accepter module.

A friend of mine made a donation box for a good cause that was a joke 'bill shredder'. You can buy cut-up US currency for very cheap, so it spat out some shreds when anyone put a real bill in.

It worked pretty well at pulling in the donations, but we had the advantages of being in Washington DC where you can buy shredded bills easily, and being in America at all, where the bills are all the same green color.
