This was on my to-do list for a long time. Though I initially wanted two of them on the legs of the desk, I decided to go with a mini horizontal strip because of power supply and safety reasons. The code averages the intensity values to evaluate the lighting sequence and thus, not so accurate as a full spectrum analyzer.
Runs off a Arduino Nano and a Sound Intensity sensor and a 41-pixel ws2812b LED strip. You can see it in action in the video below.
Note to myself : Print a case for the sensor and the processor.
