This simple computer replicates the architecture of the Nand 565 (https://hackaday.io/project/28605-the-nand-565-a-computer-programmed-by-leds) and substitutes one by one, all-optical components until reaching a fully optical device.
1- Step : building basic ROM with :
- optical backloop with panel of SC/UPC (LC/UPC is more compact but also more expensive)
- optical Fiber splitter PLC (planar lightwave circuit) and not use FBT technologies) for matrix
(http://www.fiberopticshare.com/fbt-splitters-vs-plc-splitters-differences.html)
32 lines of 24 bits (768 bits, 96 bytes))
-> under construction
2- Step : building all optical 7 segments display:
Build with CNC : fiber optic brings light to each segment
-> under construction
3- Step : RAM construction
-> under construction
4- ALU construction
