This clock hides in plain sight disguised as a light ornament. Hours and minutes are shown by dots of colored light each representing a roman numeral. Time is kept by a battery backed DS3234.

The body of the prototype is a palm "neon" clock from a pound store. This originally had a fixed color yellow for the trunk and green for the rest. I gutted the LED strip that was inside and replaced it with a string of WS2812B LEDs. In hindsight it would have been better to find one with more dense LEDs as currently the sections between the colored dots, which are illumintated in warm white, appear a bit patchy.

The current code iteration doesn't include any facility to set the time which needs to be set once only uploading a temporary program that will initialiase the RTC.

The hardest part was to try to get a decent photo of the actual prototype, the best shot I could get still doesn't make it justice!
