This is a pet project I've been thinking about creating for a while and is inspired by the work accomplished by Christina Hunger a speech-language pathologist. Hunger created a way to communicate with her dog by training the dog to press recordable answer buzzers that coincided with the dog's needs/wants. If the dog is thirsty, she will press the button that says "water", therefore communicating to Hunger that she needs water.
Hunger's board is comprised of a piece of wood/corkboard and about 20 individual buttons, each button says one word.
The Clover Translator project is to create a soundboard based on the same concept, but with a few different features. The board will consist of buttons that will correlate to specific words Clover is trained to understand. The soundboard will be programmed to string together these words pressed by Clover, then relayed via a Bluetooth speaker. Other features: treat dispenser for training and data collection.
