Welcome to the Foxie Clock, a fully open-source RGB clock with nixie-like edge-lit acrylic digits. Or... an RGB pixel display clock, if you like!
#### Why did you make it?
I love the idea of edge lighting. LEDs and edge lighting are a match made in heaven.
#### What makes it special?
It's retro and modern. Easy to hack. Want to make your own case? Do it. Make revisions to the design? Do it! Completely open source. The case (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4114349), PCB, firmware, and even the app (currently in the works) are all available at https://github.com/afoxinsocks/foxie-clock.
With a look inspired by old nixie tubes and with capacitors protruding through the surface like vacuum tubes, the Foxie Clock is a fun, colorful way to display the time at your desk, office, or anywhere. Brightness, color, animations, and time are all adjustable directly with 4 buttons on the back.

You could switch over to the ESP8266/ESP32 and still have the wifi capability.
