In the current difficult times, I felt the need for a solution to help people keep distance from me. Presenting: the 'Socal Distancing Helmet'! It consists of a bicycling helmet on which a small motor and laser diode is mount. The 2 elements are powered by 2 seperate lipo batteries. The motor is controlled by a 555-based PWM-controller module, and the laser diode is connected to an AMS1117 linear regulator module to power it with 3.3volt. Everything is connected to each other using small 3d-printed parts, makerbeam profiles and zipties. Even though I'm not sure if the motor likes its purpose as much as I do, the helmet works quiet ok...
Too bad the motor couldn't be faster, to make the circle more solid seeming. Still, nice job.
