The first step was to discover which pcb traces were responsible for the communication between ELM327 and the bluetooth module.
And then cut those traces and wire them to the new board.
I love it that you started from one of these ODB-II modules. Great way to get the robust connection with the vehicle and the CAN data you needed all at the same time.
