mutantC v2 - A HandHeld for everything

I am testing the new power circuit for v4, this black PCB are from PCBway and that helped me to quickly test out the new changes. The production was fast and i got the PCB within 3 days.

I had to make the v4 because of 2 reasons, the power supply is not enough and a lot of tiny mistake i made on the scolding pads. now those pads are bigger and easy to solder.

But V4 and v3 are not compatibles in the size so there is no drop in replacements.

As mutantC is a open source hardware and I am not capable to supply you guys one by tindy or other way, so kwlodraczyk took the job to supply you guys one by his own.

I think a new project page hackaday.io will be much better way to do it. I will v3 related things to this project.

After a long time i ordered the PCB from the PCBway and those came up and i tested them. All worked great and soon we will get the V3.

I am really impressed the PCB quality and the the accurate dimension of the PCBs. Also loving the color option they give. I am liking the Yellow color more then any other. Also i was nervous about the Thumb-stick PCB as it has a 1mm cut out for the FPC cable. But it is no issue for the them. It came up just great and also fits with the 3D parts.

I am really grateful the help it get from the PCBway. There work to help the DIY project like mutantC is really great and hopefully they will be beside us in future.

Cyril Hrubis did all the work and submitted two merge request to add this improvements

• Added long press to key to continuous output of the keys. Before this user have press the key each time to get more key press.
• Added long press hold to power off the pi with sending HID power-off code to pi to safely shutdown.
• Reduced the CPU speed to send less battery usages.

I have stop developing the expansion broad, as i thought v3 will have those features i want to add.

I am designing a prototype expansion-board. This will fit nicly in that space and i can do future expansion-board circuit testing there.
