The DAFM Synth is a product in continuous development and we are always including new features, thanks sometimes to the incalculable feedback of our customers.
Until now, all firmware updates could fit in the microcontroller memory and were sent to customers for free if requested. But for current and future versions, a larger capacity microcontroller is necessary. Moreover, the upgrade process requires a USB-To-Serial Board to flash the new firmware from your PC.
Which DAFM SYNTHs can be upgraded?:
- All DAFM SYNTHs purchased as DIY Kits
- All assembled DAFM SYNTHs purchased after January 21, 2020
- Assembled DAFM SYNTHs purchased before January 21, 2020 check instructions for last hope solution.

DAFM SYNTH DIY KIT
DAFM SYNTH - ASSEMBLED (you need to disassemble the case and remove all screws and spacers first). Some assembled synths do already have the upgrader integrated in the board and no USB serial connector is found. In this case connect the USB directly to the USB connector without the external upgrader.
