This digital random bit stream generator (RND192) uses a 56 bit long linear-feedback shift register (LFSR) with four taps on bit 56, 54, 52 and 49. The LFSR is clocked at 350 kHz.
On power up the 56 bits (7 bytes) of shift registers are initialized with random values which makes it a source of true random bits with a repetition time of 6’528 years.

The random stream generated by the LFSR and the internal clock are two independent sources. The stream is fed into the D input of a D latch which can be clocked with an internal or external clock (see Fig 1.). The external clock can be any TTL signal up to 500 kHz. Pin-5 on low (zero) level select
