I am hoping to test my AGV at either my workplace (I work at a printed circuit board manufacturer) or my brother's (he works at a local HVAC shop). Originally my idea was to have the AGV move the trash to the back dock by towing a self-dumping forklift hopper on swivel casters or deliver 4 poly drums (tops cut off) on a pallet staged at a convenient location and pick up a pallet with 4 full trash drums, move to the back dock then forklifted into the dumpster. Another possibility is having the AGV resupply material. I would have to construct a pick-up & delivery platform that the AGV could drive under attach itself to and move from the back dock to the material storage area. the issue is the best possible guide path has steel plate flooring, the AGV has a magnetic guidance system so the electromagnetic properties of the flooring will interfere with the guidance system. I am considering reflected UV light as an alternative guidance system. hope to fund future projects with this

Special Thanks to Lance from Olympus Controls for hooking me up with sticker's!!!
let's see.... so I didn't have much success deploying my automatic guided vehicle at work despite constantly pestering them. Insurance for such a undertaking was also a challenge. On Tuesday I have a interview for a waste water treatment position the person in charge of the department also gave the most positive indication of interest and possibility of use of the AGV for moving material a special pick up and delivery system would need to be designed but working in the department and having close contact with the person in charge of approving decisions is a step in the right direction. I also purchased a Ford transit van and am considering buying my son's great grandmas house or renting her late son's mechanical shop as a hackspace. One more thing I got a oculus quest 2 hoping to convince either Olympus controls or pollen robotics to allow me to access one of there robots as a sort of test drive for practical application and durability and ease of use. Or else virtually simulate control over virtual reality. I know as community college's will sell lab time hopefully I could rent use of the robot during off hours and times of low activity to practice and do some beta testing.
