11Assemble the Filter Holder
Grab your Base Plate, Pressure Plate, filter, M3 bolts, and M3 washers.
Ignore the bolts, washers, and brass nuts in this photo.
Put the filter into the Base Plate, white pleats facing up.
Take the pressure plate (as shown) and flip it face side down, then put it on top of the filter.
Drop the six washers into the holes as shown here.
Install the six M3 bolts. Tighten the M3 bolts slowly and gently. Alternate between bolts as you would the lug nuts on a car wheel. Don't tighten the bolts too much. You only need to get the face of the pressure plate to be even with the face of the base plate.

12Arrange the filter and fan box
Lay out the filter and fan box as you see here.
Now, take a moment and think "Man, that looks awesome", because it is.

13Prepare for installation in your computer
Put the fan box atop the filter. NOTE: The steel mesh needs to be between the pleats and the fan.
Grab your #6 bolts, #6 washers, and #6 hex nuts.
When installing this into the chassis, the washers and bolts go here. The four washers and four nuts not used will go on the front of the computer chassis.

14Install the fans into the chassis
Up to this point, the instructions have covered a single 80mm fan and filter, but now I am including photos for all three filters that will be installed in my chassis.
The 70mm fan is installed. The 70mm fan/filter is different from the others in that it includes a shroud that covers the hole at the bottom of the chassis.
The 80mm fan is installed:
Tighten the nuts protruding from the front:
The 92mm fan is installed:
All three filters installed. Different angle, better light.
All three filters installed. Front view.

15The Fractal Define S2 chassis doesn't like the bottom hex nuts
As you can see from these awful photos, the Fractal Define S2 chassis doesn't like the bottom hex nuts. The face plate won't fully mount unless we cut the face plate. Fortunately, it is made of plastic. You will need to cut both sides.
Example of it not fitting:
Uncut:
Cut:
It fits now:
