2023 Update: Improved Rotation Interface

A project log for 3-Axis Skull Mod for 12ft Skeleton

The 12ft skeleton (Skelly) from Home Depot is an impressive decoration, but needs an extra kick to make it truly incredible!!!

One issue some have been having with the rotation movements is the servo slipping in the clamp at the top of the interface part. I've added a new version (called Type B) that uses a Servo Gear to make this a solid connection (on the right). The gear can be purchased here: https://www.servocity.com/32p-16-tooth-15t-d1-spline-servo-mount-gear-metal/

OK - found a STEP file on servocity and an online STEP to STL convertor - now sending the gear to the printer and see what happens :)

I'm wondering if anyone has made a 3d printed gear before for this. I am in Canada and ServoCity wants $65 to ship a $9 gear to Canada so I'm thinking of just trying to print one and see how long it lasts for. I usually just grab stuff on thing verse - but can't find this specific gear....might finally try my luck with tinkercad - but thought I'd ask here if anyone has a STL for the gear first.

By the way - definitely love this project - looking forward to attempting it!
