Here is my camera setup for taking time lapses of 3D prints with an added extra to make them more interesting. It uses three stepper motors controlled by a Raspberry PI Pico to adjust the lengths of the strings hanging the camera, this allows it to be moved around the 3D Printer. The steppers are mounted to my Creality Ender 3's enclosure. The steppers are controlled from an Octoprint plugin which moves to camera between each shot taken using Octolapse.
It would be better to use a microstepper for rotating the head . That would give a much smoother end result. Nice project though. It reminds me of a string based delta printer published some years ago on the reprap forum.
