Description

Gentoo is an easy to deploy origami-based incubator which leverages existing beds and bassinets in resource-constrained hospitals. It uses off-the-shelf components and simple and in-expensive manufacturing processes to reduce costs by 100x. The current BOM cost for the device stands at $150 compared to regular incubators which can cost a hospital over $5000.
It is easy to assemble and clean and manage, making it easier to use in extreme environments.
