RS485 lora soil sensor

This project was created on 10/21/2021 and last updated 4 years ago.

Description

With the development of agricultural modernization and the popularization of precision agriculture, the measurement of soil parameters such as temperature, moisture, PH and so on, becomes more and more important. How to measure or obtain this data has become a focus. Based on the LoRa soil moisture sensor, we wanted to replace this sensor with a better sensor that can accurately measure multiple elements in the soil and can be waterproof and corrosion-resistant.
The industrial-grade soil sensor meets the requirement and it can be used to detect the temperature, moisture, PH, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and so on. But it supports the Modbus protocol and provides the RS485 interface. For transmitting the measurement of this sensor by convenience,We designed a wireless station to receive data from RS485 and transmit it by LoRa, wifi, or Bluetooth.
