Total Control

Description

My idea is to utilize the progressively advancing technology used in the Leap Motion controller and apply it to drone technology, giving the user Total Control over the drone without needing to learn a complex set of controls, or juggle an obnoxious controller. After starting development on the basic interface the possibilities are quite literally endless.... Making a drone fly/drive on hand gestures paves the way for every type of application from the civilian side, using a drone to record events from impossible angles, like the recent explosion of drone videos of 4th of July fireworks, or explore places far too dangerous for humans to venture, and also having many possible military applications, picture a soldier with a wearable computer that controls a drone that can recon areas nearby and find hostile combatants without ever needing to walk around a blind corner. This isn't a film of the future you're seeing, it's today.

As with every great idea, someone had it long before you... However, that just let's you work harder to enhance those ideas and to twist and tweak them until you finally have something that is unique and outperforms everything else that's out there. At this point in the game I am looking through hundreds of search results, finding the dos and don'ts of everything from flight sims, hand gestures, drone control, hell even a little aerodynamics. In true O.M.A. fashion I will exhaust the endless bounds of the internet to find the best way to accomplish my goal... And then I will finally sleep again.
