Biodata Sonification is the process of reading complex real-time data from plants and organisms and translating that activity into musical notes, allowing a listener to perceive changes in the state of a plant. Using a 555 timer set as an astable multivibrator, two probes are attached to the leaves of a plant and produce a pulse width modulated signal representing microcurrent changes in the conductivity across the surface of a plant's leaf. This is the fifth iteration of my Biodata design and features Bluetooth MIDI, Wifi RTP-MIDI, or Serial MIDI (3.5mm type-A) output. Using an Adafruit ESP32 Feather (or any Feather compatible board) this Biodata Sonification board uses all through hole components for simple kit assembly. Code, schematics, and 3d enclosure is on my github.
