I designed the breakout board in Altium Designer then panelized it for production.  I had the 3x3 up panels produced then gave some to the electronics instructor for evaluation. He was over the moon as were his students. His feedback was that the students really liked the ability to rapidly experiment and gained an understanding of the ways that the part can be used much more quickly than otherwise.

Also shown I also designed a 556 dual breakout board but deferred having that one fabricated until I got feedback on the 555 board.
