I've found a better 330fps camera option: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005102333833.html
This camera has a smaller PCB, the actual sensor is on a ribbon cable (thus even easier to mount in a printhead) and can do 1080p 120FPS allegedly, unlike 60FPS for the 38x38mm board I found.

Seems like some companies in 2019 had the same basic idea I had in this project (5 axis, toolchanging, copper wire placing) and got together to collaborate on developing a solution.
