I made one more revision of the board, and just received it today from PCBWay. I think this will be the one - no annoying functional issues or need to bodge anything.
Changes
- 1uF caps on the op amp outputs to dampen the blip you can get on power up when sensitivity is turned way up
- Added a 100K bleeder resistor across C7 so the pulse shortener works reliably
- Added a second resistor-diode on the timer output so it works when the PIR is not triggered
- Changed external pinout
- removed motor and timer lines since they are not really needed to monitor and control
- revised pin arrangement to match a common 4-channel level shifter so you can just plug it in without wires
- planning to use an ESP32-CAM module to record video/pictures and allow remote monitoring and control of the vending machine
- Connected the barrel jack switch lead to ground - didn't really need to do this, and might reverse it later - makes no difference
Other notes
- The green signal LEDs I used were super bright on 1K resistors. I switched to 10K and all the colors light up sufficiently without being too bright. Also reduces power consumption
Will post results as soon as I populate and test it.
