I hear you my friend. Socks is getting on in years now and we decided on no more fur family as there is just to much heartache when they are gone for any reason but their fond memories will last the rest of our lives :-)

I hear that! I made that same decision two (identical-looking(!!!???)) cats ago. The first breaking my vow was by his insistence. The second was a mistake in identifying him 6 months after his disappearance, combined with a really stressful, seemingly time-sensitive, situation. Heh! Fate had other plans for me, I guess. I do love this new guy quite a bit.
