Scientists and engineers at Xanadu Quantum Technologies built a quantum computer called Borealis which is capable of achieving quantum advantage.

quantum advantage is the goal of demonstrating that a programmable quantum device can solve a problem that no classical computer can solve in any feasible amount of time.

In this case Borealis solved a task in 36 microseconds that would take the best supercomputer at least 9000 years to complete.

Fortunately now anyone can use this quantum computer over the internet.

This is the first time that such a powerful quantum computer has been made available to the public.
