Awesome! Did something similar with a pneumatic driven drumset called the Drum Robot back in 1999 for the opening of Experience Music Project (now MoPOP). Ours was driven by a computer talking to a custom PAVO midi interface which then actuated pneumatic valves to hit the drums. It was tied in with a touchscreen based interactive exhibit that taught you how to play a drum beat, step by step.
