The speed box has an Arduino Uno, Adafruit GPS logger shield, and a Lora radio. 

The display in the speed box is the exact same one used in the remote control. 

I used the Adafruit GPS logger shield to solder on the Lora radio. I'm really happy with the GPS logger and the Lora radio range is pretty amazing. 

The GPS just used serial to communicate with the NMEA 0183 protocol. 

That is it. There are lots of customizations you can do like add sound. I chose to add working speed.
