Just about everyone who starts messing around with Tesla Coils begins by lighting up Neon tubes and I have that working quite well with my 6KV coil. Not impressive by any means but I want to see how far I can go using my Light Logic sequencer to control a Nixie Tube as a decimal display/counter. So far my initial tests indicate that I can do this as long as I keep safety in mind around the high voltage from the Tesla Coil output winding. In the examples below, the yellow lead attached to the two LDR's has its other end in close proximity to the HV coil but not touching. It can be seen that a LDR does act as a switch for the selected Nixie digit by just directing a light source on one LDR or the other. Just like a Light Logic element will do.
:-D
