A compact 5:1 actuator, utilizing a dual-disk, single-stage cycloidal gearbox.
Designed to be a low-cost, high-efficiency, high-precision actuator for an upcoming robotic arm project.
Currently, the backlash is over 1.2 degrees, making it unacceptable for my robotic arm design.
Currently investigating swapping over to machined aluminum rotors for this project to reduce the backlash, I'll update and post full assembly instructions when the actuator is perfected.
