I had a long meeting today, and I decided to make an optional add-on module, that houses a BaseUS 65w, 20,000 Ohm power bank. This is a well-regarded power bank, and still small enough to be shipped and taken on flights in the United States.
The design was relatively simple.

The most complicated part of the engineering was working out how I would attach and detach it from the main chassis. Ultimately, I settled on simplicity. A 3mm hex-driver can be inserted in the mounting hole across from the chassis. Ta Da! I also added a cutout on the bottom to help with positioning the screws initially, and to give the power bank access to air for passive cooling.

Unfortunately, this power bank is almost exactly as deep as my keyboard and hub combined, so there isn't any room for cable management. Perhaps this box just need to be on the very end, or I will need to add a cable channel in the future.
As-is, the battery can connect via usb-C directly from the power bank and power the hub and provide a fast-charge to the deck.
