I'll accompany each pic with an explanation of what I need to fix about each part...

The "Deckdome" as I am calling it, has a grid of m3 compatible screw-mounts, but they are on their own grid, not aligned with the back. WTH?! Also, the screw-mounts are a newer addition.


The "Deckdome" attaches with a solid hinge that slides out for removal, only when the top is rotated to a specific position, and slid to the side. It's very clever. Or it will be. This version doesn't do that, and I had to fix a bunch of parts with glue.

This prototype has too many imperfections to make a good gift, but after I go through one more pass on the design, I can print out something WORTH sharing.

... I am giving serious consideration to scope creep, and redesigning the "interior" so it will house any sort of tech, or none at all. Modular...
