There are many reasons why not, but also a few reasons why.

- I'm sick and tired entering long passwords each time I leave laptop for 2 minutes
- I don't want my screen to go dark whenever I'm focused on something and happen to not move the mouse for a minute or two
- I want to be available for other Team members, even if I went for a cup of coffee
- But mainly, if someone enforce stupid policies on my laptop and I cannot change them - I will workaround them just for fun

Main features

- ATtiny85 MCU, 8 KB Flash, 512B EEPROM, 512B SRAM
- WS2812E RGB addressable LED for status indication
- TTP223 based touch sensor for switching it ON and OFF
- Sandwich PCB design to protect important electronics from cats and children

Just a quick video on how to use it.

To switch it on of off you just touch the board edge. Led will turn red when switched off, and change colors when it is on.

For your laptop it is no more just a normal mouse, so it will start working right away

  • Type C version is available

Recently I updated my laptop, and yes, it no longer has type A USB ports. I guess only now I realized that it become a reality. Like PCs without floppy-drives many years ago, and without CD drive not-so-many.

So I thought, I probably should order the next batch with Type C connector. I had this Idea before, and actually I abandoned it because I do not trust type C to stick out of the port as a dongle device. You don't see many of them, and I think it is because it is not sturdy enough. Well I guess we will find out.

Any chance more of these will be available on tindie in the near future? I could regain SO MUCH of my sanity with two of these.
