The Canary is a mobile app and wearable item that tracks local air quality data and guides the wearer to a Safe Air Zone, as designated by live data. The wearable item is a hood that contains a lighted compass, ranging from green to red depending on the proximity of the Safe Air Zone. It also contains a filtration system that automatically activates based on the live data from the app. This product arose out of personal need after a lifetime of dealing with asthma. The goal is to aggregate live air quality data and trigger a response from the wearable item. By merging wearables with data, the items we wear and depend on can be used to protect us from the environment as well. To meet the challenge, the atmospheric data will be filtered through our app, leading the wearable to make "smart" decisions and navigation on behalf of the wearer. Since poor air quality is directly linked to health, having a wearable equipped with navigation and respiration keeps the wearer safe as they
