Working con V2
09/05/2017 at 14:20 • 0 commentsI've started to work on the V2 of the system.
It will just have 18mm of thickness, so, it will be much comfortable to play with :)
As always, any feedback will be appreciated.
Greetings!

Le prototype!
09/03/2017 at 17:08 • 2 commentsHi! Just want to show a little update on the Ludus first prototype.
I've seen that this size is too big to play comfortable. That it's why I'm going to move to a 5" screen instead of 7" for V2.
Also, I'm going to design a pcb to join all parts together and make it easier to assembly as a kit. Hope to have enough space for a 3.7V 6600 mAh 3 cells lipo battery.
I'm thinking about using standard replacement parts for the buttons (snes style, both the cross direction and abxy buttons) and add a analog styck from the psp 1000 (which it's really low profile)
If you have any feedback, I'll really appreciate that.
Greetings!

The very first render! (and some other less exciting updates)
01/30/2017 at 23:22 • 0 commentsHi!
I've finished my day job and go back to design table. I've managed to finish the back case today, so the project design time it's almost done.
I've added the lipo charger (powerboost 1000C), an on/off switch and the audio amplifier in the back case. Also, there is some room for 2 3000 mAh batteries. (assuming a 1.5A current, it will be 4 hours of awesome retro gaming)
The main things to do know it's to create shoulder buttons, created a way to anchor the screen to the frame (I'm thinking about something already) and create some holes in the back case to hide the m3 screws that will hold everything together.

More 3D design!
01/30/2017 at 08:25 • 0 commentsHi!
I've been designing the top case, integrating the new button pad board and two holes for tiny speakers.
Here are some pictures of it.
There is a lot to do yet, but the project is moving on :)Talk soon :)

New button pad board!
01/29/2017 at 12:01 • 0 commentsHi!
I've designed a new button pad board for the project. It uses an Alps SKQUAAA010 for the D-pad and 4 tactile 6-mm switches for user selected actions (actions buttons, select/start).
Here is some pictures of the board:
