The Ice-cream

First, we thought about making an ice-cream scale model. When the car is moving forward or backward, some gears are linking the wheels and the scale model, which allows the ice-cream to rotate on itself.

The Frame

The Frame is a difficult part to build. With our wheels of 3 cm of width each, several aspects can’t be overlooked.

To begin with, our car has 2 drive wheels and 2 directive’s one. Therefore, we need a greater distance between directive’s wheels and the wooden base for rotation. 

The moving system

For the translation part, we are using a motor which allows both wheels on the back to move forward.

To save motors, we decided to make an axe which allows to make a link between both wheels at the back.

For the rotation part, the system below makes wheels rotate for the direction. 

Like the translation, wheels are connected but not with an axe, instead, we are using our mechanism. 

The Car Body. 

For the Car body, we decided to make it in plastic. There will be 4 flats parts for the outside of the car, and one in wood for the base, where motors and gears will be set on.  

Arduino

The goal of the Arduino is to make one DC motor running backward and forward thanks to one joystick, and to make one Servo running on both side thanks also to one joystick.
