Description

Many long strip displays are vertical. This 7.36" display is horizontal, so it doesn't require rotating the screen.
I found lontium's LT8619C chip, which has HDMI input interface, TTL/LVDS output interface and I2S audio output interface. It was great, so we added a few more models.
Because I need to integrate the capacitive touch screen, I chose a 150MHz Cortex-M4 control CPU with a USB interface. Brightness control is adjusted directly via a rotary potentiometer.
We are not familiar with the initial version of EDID. We selected several resolutions in the compatibility section, which will cause X86 PC recognition problems. In the next version, EDID only supports one resolution of 1280x400, which will not There will be problems. Fortunately, the selected CPU can upgrade the firmware via USB, which makes it easy to upgrade the released code.

Later I came into contact with the more popular MIPI displays. We newly used lontium's LT6911C chip. It has 2 MIPI output ports and can drive 2 displays at the same time and make them have the same display content or split one left and right/up and down. Display interface, this solution is very good.

I designed a PCB so that it outputs 2 channels at the same time and can connect
7.84" 400x1280 portrait screen,
8.8" 480x1920 vertical screen
11.26" 440x1920 vertical screen
11.88" 320x1480 vertical screen
Combining the 2 channels can also connect to a 10.1" 2560x1600 display.

Very interesting long strip display application

I found an application that is similar to this long screen. I don’t know what kind of UI can be used to easily create such an interface.This foldable structure is also very interesting.

A user shared the modified shell, I have printed it out and assembled it as shown below.

This example is to use the old RPI2/3 to connect the display and turn on aida64 wirelessly, so that you can remove the second secondary screen but still enjoy the fun of aida64.
The full-color 2510 fan has arrived, and the lights change beautifully when it runs.
