  We're super excited about the 5th annual #SparkleCon this weekend!
  

  There will be tech talks, science, art, hacking & competitions. Build a crappy robot for the hebocon, become a hammer Jenga champion, and see beautiful sparks and art!

  The talks and activities include 3D body scanning, lock picking, coding, 3D printing, large Tesla coils, and nuclear fusion.

  Gearing up for Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas; or just use that magical time of the year to indulge your blinkenlight machinations - if you've not started planning, now is the time!

  According to Bill, you're already too late for grand architectural illuminations, but if you're up for a challenge you can check out his detailed guide on DIY Christmas light shows The Engineer’s Guide to DIY Computer Controlled Holiday Lights. 

  Have a LED idea, but worried about coding the animations? You could use the PixelBlaze which makes it quick to write new patterns with its highly optimized expression engine. Alternatively, the AllPixel mini LED controller doesn't even require soldering to use.  

  Looking to add blink or something more complex to your outfits? Add LEDs to your festive frocks or make Rudolph's nose glow brighter when you hug Aunt Rose with FyberLab's Flex Modules.  You can also make smaller baubles and ornaments as decorations or gifts. Design your own or use kits. You can find snowflake, blinking star and IoT ornament kits ready to go on Tindie.

  Still not sure what to make? Hackaday's Christmas archive has plenty of bright ideas for you. Whatever you decide to do there are many things on Tindie that can help you spread interactive cheer, and delight friends and family.

• Call for Tindie sellers to demo at World Maker Faire NY, Sept 23 & 24

  Tindie will have a booth in the Maker Pavilion, in Zone 3, Booth 3121.

  We're looking for sellers who would like to stop by for an hour or so on Saturday or Sunday to demo their products or a project they've made. We'd also love to see projects made with Tindie parts from the community.

• New feature on Tindie: Turn your project info into a product listing (beta)

  If you 'Sign in via Hackaday.io' when you log in to Tindie.com, your accounts will be linked. 

  When you go to list your product, you'll see a dropdown where you can select one of Hackaday.io projects and the description and some other info will be pulled in to the Tindie listing. 

  You still have to upload appropriate images, and set the quantity and pricing, but it should make things easier.

  Honored to have AnnMarie Thomas, creator of Squishy Circuits and director of the Playful Learning Lab, as our guest. This will be a great one for @Tindie Sellers who are creating hardware or kits for education or are thinking about it.
