Vento is a SunLeaf derivative board that replaces the ESP-09 modules with a ESP32 chip. The idea behind Vento is that its a BLE and ARM development platform that can run off lipo batteries and be solar charged.

Its essentially a more open ended SunLeaf as far as applications go, where as SunLeaf is aiming to be a node in a remote sensor network.

Vento will allow individuals to make bluetooth or wifi enabled devices of their own using the same technology as SunLeaf.

Same deal as the Aria project only a different name, Vento is Italian for Wind, continuing the naming theme. The board differs by using the ESP32 for both WiFi and BLE. Developed at the same time as Aria and has been open from the start just finally sharing it now. Feel free to give feedback and have a look at the source. Designed in KiCAD using the nightly build so if it doesn't open in the stable that's why.

You know the drill, more to follow when I stop spreading myself too thin :)

What kind of solar panel do you recommend for this design? Looking forward to seeing more!

still hammering out the details in regards to that part. This board is based on SunLeaf and solare, and I am currently debugging the circuit and will be testing a range of panels. I have a panel on hand but I don't recall the size of it. If you follow the project I'll be updating it soon, gotta place quite the digikey order and then populate boards over the next few weeks.

no probs, thankyou for your support. Also I think I'm going to order a few more sizes of panels from china. I really want to get this working with the smallest panel possible, so that its compact.

What chip are you using for the Solar MPPT tracking? Or is it software based?
